Personal data covers all information that can be used to identify a person. Personal data can be, for example, first name, last name, address,  e-mail address or other contact information.

Batzgroup AS is responsible for processing according to the current rules on the protection of personal data.We want to give you the best possible shopping experience with us, and here you will find an overview of which personal data we process in accordance with the Personal Data Act, including EU Regulation 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation, hereafter called “GDPR“). This is the personal data we process:

 

• Basic information you provide, such as name, address, mobile number, e-mail address etc. This information is registered via your BatzID. The information you provide will also be enriched via lookup services (for example, we collect your contact information). We do this to be able to deliver the services we offer, for identification and registration, to provide good service, etc.

 

• Information about user accounts in the online shops, such as order information, privacy settings, device, network address, city/country etc. This is to be able to manage your customer relationship and give you a better shopping experience, provide good service and have the opportunity to contact you if necessary.

 

• Information about your membership in our benefit programs, such as bonus earnings, choice of communication channel(s), privacy settings, etc. This is to be able to manage your membership and your bonus earnings, give you the benefits you qualify for as a member, give you relevant communication in those channels you want, provide good service and be able to contact you if there is anything.

 

• Information with the use of our services. For example, which device you use when you visit our websites, data collected via cookies about which pages you visit, which communications you have received and acted on, which product notifications you have received, which membership offers and customized content you have used, answered customer surveys, etc. 

 

• Information in connection with purchases and reservations. For example, which products you have bought, which store you have shopped in, reservations you have made in our online stores, which delivery method you used, payment method etc.

 

• Information derived from other information, either generated or provided, such as marketing segments and other information about our users’ shopping habits to better understand them.

Your personal data is used to deliver the best possible products to you, and the legal basis for processing personal data is to fulfill an agreement to which you are a part in.This applies to purposes such as:

• Creation of a user account and BatzID so that you can also manage your orders/purchases/returns in the online store.

3.3      Purposes related to marketing

Part of the membership agreement is to provide you with customized content, tips, invitations to events, competitions and good offers in our own and other digital channels, membership campaigns and information about the benefits program.

The purposes stated below apply to marketing. If you do not want marketing inquiries based on legitimate interest via SMS, e-mail or other channels, you can change this at any time in the privacy settings on My Pages.

Direct marketing
To be able to communicate news, good offers, tips, invitations to events, competitions, information about functionality, changes/news in our services, or anything else that is believed to be relevant to you, via email or SMS.

If you are a member of the benefits program, the legal basis for processing personal data for this purpose is to fulfill the benefits agreement.

Marketing in our digital platforms

We want to market our products and services by adapting content on our websites based on personal information, settings, preferences, purchasing and usage patterns so that your customer experience is the best possible. Which information is used will depend on whether you are a member, have a user account or are a visitor.

The legal basis for processing for you as a member or who has a user account in the online store is to fulfill an agreement you are a part of.

Marketing in other digital platforms

We want the advertisements you as a member receive from us in other media to be relevant to you. In order to be able to show you relevant advertisements on other digital platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Google, we compile personal data such as your email address and mobile number with the corresponding identifier for the relevant medium. The adaptation is only based on what we know about you, not based on information other media have beyond what is needed to identify you. The legal basis for processing your personal data for this purpose is our legitimate interest.

Customized shopping experience and communication

To make the shopping experience for you as a member best possible, we personalize content and communication specifically for you. We do this based on your use of our services, your purchase history, personal data, preferences etc.,and can, for example, offer personalized offers, product recommendations and content via e-mail and on our websites. The legal basis for this purpose is to fulfill an agreement to which you are a part as a member of our benefits program, so that we can adapt our services as best as possible to you as a customer.

3.4 Other purposes:

Manage user account, BatzID and membership

We use your personal data to create a BatzID in connection with the creation and management of a user account and membership in the benefits programme. BatzID is a common login and identification solution for benefit programs where BatzGroup AS is responsible for processing.You have the same username and password across the benefit programs and our various online stores. To use the services, you must create a BatzID. The age limit for creating a BatzID is 16 years.

The legal basis for this processing of personal data is to fulfill an agreement to which you are a party. More detailed purposes in this context include:

• Create and manage a personal user account in our online store.
• Create and manage membership and bonus ignition in our benefits program.
• Inform about new or changed services, for example new payment solutions, benefits in the benefits program etc.
• Respond to your inquiries regarding user account, newsletter registration or membership.
• take care of the BatzID service.

Analysis, statistics and development

We use personal data to understand usage patterns and needs and to further develop our services and products. The legal basis for processing personal data is a legitimate interest in improving our services, and includes, among other things:

• Use statistical data to group users on the basis of, for example, place of residence, age, length of customer relationship, browsing on our websites, use of membership benefits, etc., to understand how this affects needs and use of our services. In these cases, the information will be processed. aggregated and/or anonymised
• Catch up and analyze information for internal use about users across Batzgroup online store chains in order to better understand and develop our services and products.
• Catch up and analyze information, through customer surveys, customer service, submitted suggestion etc., to understand usage patterns and needs in the work to develop our services and products.

• Respond to your inquiries about purchases from our brand.

Security and prevent abuse

We will be able to process personal data across our benefit programs to ensure good security in all our services and to detect or prevent various types of misuse of services and fraud. The legal basis for processing personal data for this purpose is our legitimate interest in, among other things, uncovering fraud or abuse of our services or payment methods.

Our suppliers need personal data in order to deliver services to us within the framework of the processing activities set out in this declaration. We have data processing agreements with the relevant suppliers that set clear restrictions on how they can use your personal data in accordance with the current privacy regulations.

We share your personal data with our suppliers within:

• Custumer service.
• Analysis/statistics.
• Payment.
• Transportation.
• Technical support.
• Marketing.
• Communication service.

We share personal data across Batzgroup’s various online store chains and benefit programs in order to carry out internal analyses.

Following campaigns, we may wish to measure sales against market activities in order to be able to provide more relevant offers in the future and this is done by collating de-identified (hashed) purchase information with market activity at third parties.

All your personal data is stored within the EU/EEA, but some of our suppliers have technical support services located outside the EU/EEA. When using these support services, any processing of your personal data will be regulated in accordance with the EU/EEA standard contract for transfer to third countries or another approved transfer mechanism with the need for any additional safeguards. We are constantly working to ensure that we and our suppliers comply with the privacy regulations, also for transfers to third countries.

You can at any time choose to change your personal data, preferences, consents and other privacy settings. You can either do this yourself under My Pages or contact us for help.

Your personal data is only processed by authorized personnel who have access to the information by virtue of their professional position, and who are subject to an obligation to exclusively retrieve/use the data for the specified and legitimate purpose for which it was collected.

Your personal data will be stored for as long as is necessary to perform the services described in this statement, or for as long as the law requires us to keep them. They are then deleted.

We store your personal data in our data center and with recognized cloud service providers. Access to your data is secured according to standard security methods to prevent unauthorized access. We follow common standards to protect personal data and sensitive information.

All processing of personal data, such as collection, registration, storage and out delivery, is subject to special rules, including in the Personal Data Act. It is Batzgroup AS that is responsible for the processing taking place in accordance with the rules of the law, i.e. “data controller”. The Norwegian Data Protection Authority oversees compliance with the regulations in Norway. You have the right to complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority about the processing carried out by the controller in connection with this privacy policy.

When you visit our website, cookies are used to recognize your computer or mobile phone. Cookies make it easier for you, as they remember your login details for your next visit.
